The Wee Heavies began singing together in 2013. Dedicated to music from and influenced by the Celtic tradition, the mostly a cappella band sings mainly their own arrangements in an eclectic mix that runs the gamut from the traditional to the modern.  The group, based in St. Louis, MO, has been steadily making a name for themselves over the past few years.  Whether singing at major festivals or at more intimate gatherings, their ability to connect with their audiences immediately and in a meaningful way is notable.  The rapport of the group brings humor to their shows, and their musical storytelling combined with the fine blend of their voices makes their singing memorable.

Born in St. Louis, Anita Rosamond began her musical career in her early teens, playing piano, singing and recording with her older brother's band. She later recorded an album in Nashville with Roy Orbison's band. Anita now has five additional recording projects to her credit. Her early 2006 recording, "Timeless", established Anita as one of the finest vocalists and entertainers in the Midwest. Anita's critically acclaimed holiday CD, "This Is Christmas", was also released in 2006. The band's latest CD, "Keep Liftin' Me Higher" - LIVE! is a special Tribute to the Diva's of the 60's & 70's and was recorded live at Harrah's Casino. Anita has also performed the National Anthem at Busch Stadium for St. Louis Cardinals games.

In addition to her many appearances throughout the US, Anita has performed in England, Australia, and the Caribbean. Her musical background and life experiences includes many influences ... pop, R & B, rock & roll, jazz, country and gospel music ... which has enabled her to create a unique voice and approach to music.
