Ken Martin – KEN MARTIN MUSIC SINGER SONGWRITER ON AUTUMN HILL RECORDS Home MUSICIAN COVERS Booking St. Louis, Mo. Jazz-esque, acoustic toe-tapping romance on the new CD from Ken Martin “I Stand Amazed” and available on iTunes, Amazonmusic, youtubemusic, spotify and over 150 digital stores worldwide. Among those inspiring Martin are brothers Mike and Rob Silverman in association with their record label Autumn Hill Records. Martin recorded his sessions at Utopia Studio’s with Tazu Marshall as recording engineer in St. Louis, Mo. “I’m very proud to be apart of Mike and Rob’s extraordinary web of recordings, jazz festivals, radio show and their commitmnet to bring the best music and musicians available to St. Louis. Rich tone and resonate sound come from Martin’s guitar playing, which provides unparallel, seamless accompaniment to his vocals on the new songs that are all Martin originals in songwriting and composition. At once reminiscent of great acoustic music by the Allman brothers, Emerson, Lake and Palmer, Crosby, Stills and Nash and Pure Prairie League. Martin’s music clearly has its own sound infused with jazz characteristics. This isn’t the first time Martin has played with or rubbed noses with famous multi-talented people as he opened for Gordon Lightfoot, Kenny Rodgers and more. Martin also does acting and modeling with Shawnee Studios out of Illinois. Martin is also known for his philantthropic gigs. Each year he plays for no fee for several St. Louis metropolitan area-based charities and concerts including “Christmas in the Kitchen” at St. Louis’ Sheldon Concert Hall with friend Mitzi MacDonald who performs background vocals on the CD track “Happy Boy.” He also has played fee-free for Friends of Wings, Illinois, which is a fund-raising non-profit organizaton for BJC Children’s Hospice Palliatitve Care Wings Program, which is also non-profit.
