A Celtic Christmas Party!
The holiday season is here again, and I couldn’t be more excited to welcome you to Christmas in the Kitchen 2026 on Tuesday, December 8, 2026 at The Sheldon Concert Hall!
What began as a simple celebration of music, food, friendship, and giving has grown into something much bigger — a beautiful community tradition that brings people together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families.
LOOKING BACK, GOING FORWARD!
Last year’s 2025 Christmas in the Kitchen fundraiser was our biggest year yet, and I’m still filled with gratitude when I think about what our community accomplished together.
One of the most special moments was joining the toy giveaway and Christmas party at Annie Malone Children & Family Services, celebrating alongside the children, families, Santa, and CEO Keisha Lee. Seeing the joy that those toys brought to so many children was a reminder of why we do this.
Because of the incredible generosity of our friends, the churches and spiritual centers where I sing, and our loyal Christmas in the Kitchen supporters, we were able to make a record-breaking impact:
- $22,048.63 donated to Annie Malone Children & Family Services
- $2,000 donated to The Leadership School of Normandy
- More than 300 toys collected, with the majority going to Annie Malone’s
We were also honored to provide toys to children at The Leadership School of Normandy, in addition to the financial donation. And the spirit of giving reached even farther, thanks to Sheila Burton and Join Hands ESL, who helped us extend our support to children in Brooklyn, Illinois.
A very special thank-you also goes to my niece, Stephanie Laws, who organized a toy drive on the east side of Illinois and helped us expand our reach even further.

The generosity we experienced last year inspired us to keep going — and to dream even bigger.
On Tuesday, December 8, 2026, we’ll gather once again for an evening of music, food, fellowship, and giving, with the hope of bringing even more joy to children and families in our community.
Every donation, every toy, every helping hand, and every person who joins us helps make this tradition possible.
Because Christmas in the Kitchen is about more than one evening. It’s about community. It’s about generosity. It’s about showing up for children and families. And it’s about discovering just how much we can accomplish when we come together.

Christmas in the Kitchen 2026
A Holiday Tradition with Heart! To-date Christmas in the Kitchen has donated over $184,000 to local children’s charities.
